I did the “right thing” and went to the Viper Room last night to see Owl!  Their show a few months ago at the Roxy was great, but this was even better!  The Viper Room walls wrapped the crowd in a steamy, electric veil of energy that Owl quickly shattered.  Chris Wyse’s bass (upright bass and bow at times) and vocals, Jason’s guitar slide (which at one point was a shot glass), plus Dan’s ferocious drumming complimented each other beautifully.  Owl’s set was hard rocking and relentless, comprised mostly of songs from their most recent release, “The Right Thing”.  Available on iTunes  and the band’s website.
