I went down to the Gaslamp in Long Beach on Thursday to see the triumvirate of badassery that is PHILM: Dave Lombardo-Drums, Gerry Nestler-Guitars and vocals, Pancho Tomaselli-Bass.  My friend from San Diego drove up to meet me and the high expectations I set for him were completely annihilated.  Worth the trip!  Their CD, Harmonic is out now (on Ipecac Recordings)…it doesn’t sound like anything else, so buy a copy and hear for yourself!
