Green Acres Estate, Beverly Hills, CA. 10/7/12.

The 9th annual Tony Hawk Foundation: Stand Up For Skateparks event help on 10/7/12 was a huge success!   The event was attended by over 1,000 guests, including Jon Favreau, Jason Lee, Shaun White, Chuck Liddell, Bill Walton, Fred Durst, Michael Rappaport, Leeza Gibbons, Willie Garson, J.R. Martinez, Kat Graham, Mike “Rooftop” Escamilla, Holly Robinson Peete, A.C. Green, David Spade, Marisa Quinn, Lenny Kravitz plus many other generous people who came out to support this great cause.  Between a silent auction and tickets sales, close to $1 million was raised!

Besides getting to see Jimmy Eat World perform, guests in attendance were also treated to Vert Demos featuring Tony Hawk and other top skaters and BMX athletes, including Mat Hoffman, Andy Macdonald, Jamie Bestwick, Lyn-Z Adams Hawkins Pastrana, Kevin Staab, Mitchie Brusco, and Lincoln Ueda!

The Foundation was established in 2002 by professional skateboarder Tony Hawk to promote and provide funds for high-quality public skateparks in low-income areas throughout the USA. So far, the foundation has helped to build over 500 skateparks across the country.
