HellRide, Harvelle’s Long Beach, CA 2-27-2015

There aren’t many bands that I’d venture out of Los Angeles and onto the Freeway on a Friday night to go see.  But this band is worth it (I’ll leave the obvious pun out)!!  🙂  HellRide doesn’t play that often as their other bands keep them pretty busy…the Stooges/the Secondmen/the Second Missingmen (Mike Watt), Jane’s Addiction (Stephen Perkins), Lance Herbstrong (Peter DiStefeno).  HellRide gigs are always electrifying and Friday was no different.  It was my first time at Harvelle’s and I thought the venue was great with the combination of seating areas and plenty of standing room.  Jazz-punk fusion of Stooges songs had never sounded better!  Visual accompaniment by the vastly talented Norton Wisdom.  Every time the squeegee comes out, my heart breaks a little!  They closed out with their signature show ender- Porno For Pyros’ Bad Shit.
