Photo set: Peter Murphy, El Rey Theatre Los Angeles 7/3/14

Peter Murphy July 3, 2014 El Rey Theatre, Los Angeles, CA

The enormously  talented and always enigmatic Peter Murphy unleashed songs from Lion at the El Rey Theatre last Thursday (and again on Saturday).  The set featured new songs from his 10th solo album, beauties from previous solo records and also a few Bauhaus songs.  The setlist below is a bit different than what was actually played.  Things seems to get off to a late start, so the songs on the encore weren’t played perhaps due to a curfew?  His tour in support of Lion continues in the US into August, after which he’ll head to South America.  Updated tour information on http://www.petermurphy.info/
