Photo set: Dave Navarro and Billy Morrison’s “Above Ground” benefit, Fonda Theatre Los Angeles, CA 9/16/2019

The second annual Above Ground benefit was held at the Fonda Theater on September 16, 2019.  It was presented by Dave Navarro and Billy Morrison to raising awareness and money to help with the treatment of mental health, with the proceeds going to MusiCares.  Set one featured the Stooges self-titled album with performances by Juliette Lewis, Wayne Kramer and Al Jourgensen among many others.   Set two featured David Bowie’s “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars” with Mike Garson, Carmine Rojas, Perry Farrell, Gavin Rossdale, Jack Black, Steve Vai, Franky Perez and many more.  Billy Idol and Steve Stevens played in both sets.  During the intermission, Tom Arnold and Dr. Drew Pinsky helped to auction off art by @Teachr1, @PlasticJesus, @VYALone, @MegZany as well as Dave Navarro and Billy Morrison.
