Poppies, poppies everywhere!  I took a drive out to Lancaster to check out the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve this past weekend.  Like my trip to Anza-Borrego desert a few weeks ago, I went on a Saturday (ignoring my own advice).  Not the best idea, but it was still a beautiful and peaceful experience.  I parked about a mile away on Lancaster Road and walked in.  If you’re going to go, I suggest opting for a weekday if you can.  The yellow flower fields were taken on my drive back to Los Angeles, a few miles from the reserve.
