What a gem! I’d been wanting to check out this museum of velvet paintings for a few months, and I’m so glad I finally stopped in today! As a little girl, I had a velvet roadrunner handing in my room and I’ve always loved the art form! From beautiful to kitschy…from humorous to historical, this museum has it covered. They are located at 711 New High St in Chinatown and admission is $10. I highly recommend visiting. Lots of unique art and the owners are super cool. -Christy 7/20/14
