Helping to keep the arts in schools, Adopt the Arts, 7/2 The Mint LA

July 2, 2014 The Mint in Los Angeles, CA

Adopt The Arts & The Mint present: Fillmore Summer Celebration.  Music of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young!

I attended the Adopt the Arts benefit at the Mint last night.  ATA is a non-profit charitable foundation dedicated to saving the arts in public schools.  ATA was founded by legendary drummer/artist/activist, Matt Sorum and activist Abby Berman, both of whom were in attendance last night.  Music memorabilia was auctioned off in between a fantastic set of the music of CSNY, performed by many talented musicians including surprise guests, Chris Stills and Billy Duffy.  Dallas Taylor was also in attendance and the recipient of an award for his involvement in the arts.

If you missed last night’s event, check out part 2 tonight, July 3, 2014.  The “Fillmore Summer Celebration” at the Mint continues to benefit Adopt the Arts with the music of the Allman Brothers Band! $15!  Doors at 8PM, event starts at 9PM!
