I saw Nonpoint many years ago when they opened up for Sevendust and became a fan instantly.  I knew the radio songs (which at the time were: “What a Day” and “Bullet…”), but was impressed with the music I hadn’t heard and their electric stage presence.   I saw them a few times on the East Coast but never caught any shows near LA.  I was happy to hear they were playing at the Roxy and equally psyched to hear they’d put out a new album.  A self-titled album (their 7th) was released last fall.  This past Saturday, they played some songs off of the new album that I really dug- “Lights, Camera, Action”, “Pandora’s Box” and “I Said It” especially.  They are currently on tour with supporting acts, Digital Summer and Candlelight Red.  An unexpected bonus was 12 year old drum phenomenon, Austin Rios, who came out to play a few songs with Digital Summer and then again to crush on Nonpoint’s Buscandome!
