Needless to say, my birthday last Friday was quite memorable!  I headed to the Mint on May 25th with my two Libra wing women.  Our plan was to definitely have some fun and laughs, undoubtedly hear great music and maybe see Johnny Depp!  I’d heard a rumor that he may be performing with Bill Carter.  Once I looked at the line-up which also included Waddy Wachtel, I knew it was going to be a great night…whether or not Mr. Depp showed up.  Johnny did indeed get behind the drum kit for Bill Carter’s set!  They played a rock solid selection with the highlight for me being the song that Bill and this wife Ruth Ellsworth penned, made famous by Stevie Ray Vaughan- “Crossfire”.  There is a link to video of that song at the end of this post.  Next up was legendary guitarist and producer Waddy Wachtel with an assault of classic rock covers!  Most definitely the best $10 cover ever spent!
