Ken Roht’s Same-O, A 99₵ Only Electric Ballad

I was able to catch a sneak peak of Ken Roht’s “Same-O, A 99₵ Only Electric Ballad” on Thursday night at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles. I thoroughly enjoyed the production and found it visually stunning. Who would think costumes made from 99¢ Only store merchandise and recycled material could be so beautiful? Incredible job by costume designer Ann Closs-Farley! The surrealist story focuses on two very different men (Fred and Eddie) who end up getting married. Written and choreographed by Ken Roht with music direction by John Ballinger.
