This afternoon, I headed downtown to visit two locations where the Doors had photo shoots in the late 60s. The front photo on the Morrison Hotel album was taken at the Morrison Hotel on Spring Street in Los Angeles. The back cover of the Morrison Hotel album was taken at the Hard Rock Cafe (the “Hard Rock Cafe” chain’s supposed namesake) in skid row 4th and Wall St. in downtown LA.
